But seriously, i think the way GCS hugged his penguin to sleep... ROTFL. It was very sweet in that cute little boy-boy way... ^_^ (i never thought i'll say that. -.-;;;)
And GCS, if you're reading this, i wholly and utterly blame you. After the visit to chicago, I've started to channel you, and have been torturing my poor Jess-chan with all the comments that you'd probably have made if you'd been around.

Well, at the same time, the caricature is very good. :) Reminds me of my good friend TK who is very talented in drawing manga/samurai characters in class...

Our class is so fortunate to have a wonderful pair of equally brilliant artists...hmmm :)
it was that whimsical, yearning and earnest way he brought Penguin round the house... like putting Penguin in the shelf to watch over him as he did work; like how he operated Baby Penguin from Penguin, so hugging Penguin to sleep would be easier; how he tucks Penguin to bed.... poor friend of mine... Perhaps he has found that Penguin has truly filled a hole in his life :p
and gcs, you make very strange connections. like how this picture has NOTHING to do with other things like prophet cartoons and whatnot. it is merely an artistic representation of a boy and his penguin.
GCS the prophet (self-proclaimed), guess you do not have many supporters to riot for you this time :)

Speaking of Ce Xiang... is GCS good friends with Ce Xiang then? As in, I'm quite surprised to note that half the guys I talk to on a semi-regular basis have some connection with Ce Xiang in one way or another. Somehow or another, his name will just pop up from nowhere. Why why why is he absolutely EVERYWHERE?
Someone please enlighten me. What is the relation of Ce Xiang to GCS? I'm seriously confused. HY! Help!!! Oh, and if anyone else is related to Ce Xiang in any way too (like, he's your brother-in-law. or something), now's the time to 'fess up, please, before I get a shock when I find out. Again.
Ce Xiang is GCS's JC classmate, quite a good friend of his indeed. I gotta know him through GCS. Currently he is tutoring my sister GP. He is the Arts Fac Captain in HC, hence it would not be surprising for quite a lot of pple to know him, esp HC pple.
Jeff: Talented indeed... However, our friend is too lazy nowadays. When is the last time you see his work (Gundam and Zaku not included)? Unless he drew in secret and didn't show us...
Ahaha, we were primary school classmates. Red Swastika School!!!
(which is usually the cue for people to start wondering why my chinese is so bad when i came from famously chinese primary and secondary schools. incidentally, >ica*-chan is also from RSS. although i must say her chinese is way better than mine...)
Plus, Mr Foo was awarded FIREfly the same year as me.
And since GCS is good friends with Mr Foo, that makes it three guys I talk to on a semi-regular basis who are good friends with him. *amused*
I didn't know he was the Arts Fac Cap though. Ahhhh, naruhodo...
Jeff and HY: I must say though, I was highly amused by the phone calls GCS made to you guys while Jess and I were visiting in Chicago. Were you surprised to hear us in the background? *g*
Deb: Initially when I heard someone laughing in the background, I was like... ??? Since when he has become so charming such that girls flock to his place?? (cos I didn't know it was you and jess)
After GCS explained, my amazement turned to the fact that he can cook Bak Kut Teh! Your presence is not the most surprising...
And indeed, the most amazing/amusing thing is still jess' illustration and her description re Penguin...
