Blogging
Looks like everytime I post something it'd be some long stories from zaobao... Dunno how many of you actually read them?
CS mentioned that a blog should not be a place to express private thoughts as it is 'public domain'... I dun see that as a problem though, as I think CS himself would sometimes be interested in those 'private' stuff too.
The problem is: are there so many things worth publishing?
I dunno how to translate things that happened today, yesterday or the day before into a language significant and interesting enough to be shared and discussed through the Internet.
Eg.: 1) Group of friends drove to Esplanade at 3am, sat there and talked. 2) Taught tuition and earned $50. Taught the student amines and nucleophilic substitution reactions. 3) Went to look for the newest Twins album and found that it costs $21.90 at Sembawang Music. 4) Bought a cake for $15 and the girl in the counter is quite pretty.
How on earth can I make all these sound really significant (well, some incidences at that particular instant is interesting and memorable) to me and others who read them? I refuse to add all those oohs, aahs and mushy adjectives and comments that make my hair stand. They sound too artificial from me. It's not me. Yet I do not naturally have many intellectual, critical and cynical thoughts about everyday life to make up blog entries.
It is interesting reading other people's blog (voyeurism?). Sometimes are really amazed at how far people can upgrade their everyday stuff. To me, a casual conversation with a friend, well, is just casual and nothing will stem from nor be associated with it. Apparently not the case of others.
I realise guys seldom own blogs... do you all feel the same way as me? Probably it proved this point again: male and female brains work differently. And this really causes freaking a lot of problems.
So I will continue to post zaobao articles. If you wanna know my life? I can email you mine in plain text, with minimal inferences. If you wanna know what I think? Email me some topic. Really glad to have some discussion with you anytime, anywhere.

There are private stuff that cannot be said on a public domain. Surely, you understand. When I post something, I am always conscious that piece of material pasted onto the web is accessible to anyone.
